Privacy policy

This policy explains what OrbitPlay, operated by Orbit Beat Studios, does with your personal data. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it.

What we collect

• Nothing you type. OrbitPlay has no accounts, sign-ups, comments or payments.
• Playback preferences such as where you stopped a title, your subtitle choice and your parental lock PIN are stored only in your browser or app on your device. They are never sent to us.
• Server logs. Our hosting and content delivery providers (Cloudflare) process your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and video, protect against abuse, and produce aggregate, anonymous analytics. We do not use advertising trackers.
• Emails you send us, for example a grievance, are kept for as long as needed to resolve the matter and to meet legal record-keeping duties.

Why and on what basis

We process this data to provide the Service you asked for and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell personal data and do not share it except with the service providers named above, who act on our instructions.

Children

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Age ratings and the parental lock help parents control what children watch.

Your rights

You can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for correction or erasure, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. Write to hello@orbitbeatstudios.in. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security and retention

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and kept only as long as needed for the purposes above. Server logs are retained by our providers for a limited period in line with their published policies.
